1000 Degrees

On December 16, 1994, at 7:30 a.m., a parcel bomb exploded in front of Medilens, a small contact lenses manufacturer in Portet-sur-Garonne, near Toulouse, France. <br>Joseph and Dominique Hernandez were seriously injured. Immediately after the tragic incident, they identified former colleague and friend Daniel Massé as the suspected culprit. They claimed he had intended to kill them. Daniel Massé was sentenced to 25 years in prison for attempted murder. From the start, he has protested his innocence, and declared himself to be the victim of a miscarriage of justice.
For nearly nine months, journalists Adèle Humbert and Emilie Denètre investigated this cold case. 1000 Degrees is the first true crime podcast in France.
